With six recruits left, which Worst Cooks in America Season 21 are ready to put their baking skills to the test. While they have tackled takeout favorites and fish dishes, baking is a whole different kitchen skill. Which recruit will rise to the occasion?

According to the Food Network, Worst Cooks in America Season 21 episode 6, “Bonkers for Baked Goods” features the following:

"It’s time for the recruits to learn about the wonderful world of desserts. They get a crash course in cake decorating from pastry chef Zac Young, and then their cake decorating skills are put to the test. For the skill drill, chefs Anne Burrell and Carla Hall teach the recruits how to make anything-but-ordinary cupcakes. Then the recruits return to the savory side when they have to make fresh pasta from scratch. The least successful dishes earn their recruits a trip home."

Bringing Zac Young into the Worst Cooks kitchen is a great idea. The talented baker has many tips and tricks that he can share. Although the recruits are far from tackling the Piecaken, they can learn some great decorating ideas. Maybe Zac Young and Carla Hall can bring some Halloween Baking Championship costumes to the kitchen.

While the bakers are tackling “anything-but-ordinary cupcakes,” it will be interesting to see what those cupcakes hold. From creative flavors to unusual ingredients, a cupcake can be much more than just chocolate and vanilla.

Although pasta is not baking, there are some similarities. Understanding dough and measurements is important to making pasta. Even though there can be a few pasta hacks, mastering the basics is key. Since pasta can be a vehicle for all types of flavors, these dishes should be something that the recruits can use long after their Worst Cooks journey is over.
