Instead of popping some bubbles, these romantic cocktails are the perfect sip to savor while watching some favorite romantic comedies. Whether you are watching the movie with a special someone, a group of friends or just curling up on the couch by yourself, these cocktails and movies will make it a night to remember.

Recently, Lillet Brand Ambassador Lauren Trickett looked to nine different romantic comedies as inspiration for some romantic cocktails. Trickett referenced a specific moment or scene. Even if that reference isn’t your favorite part of the movie, it can be a reason to take a sip or two of these special cocktails.

At the same time, these cocktails can be enjoyed without those romantic comedies playing on the screen. Many of the lower ABV cocktails would make for a lovely apertif, brunch cocktail or even just a mid-afternoon libation. Truthfully, an excuse to enjoy a great cocktail is always a good thing.

Romantic cocktails with a classic side

Sleepless in Seattle and The Classic Spritz

Many people have dreamed of that moment on the top of the Empire State Building all the stars align and that love affair takes the next step. From the location to the sentiment is is a classic moment that seems to draw people to romantic comedies.

Trickett used the top of the Empire State Building moment as her reference for the Classic Spritz.

Express the romance with Bridgerton and A Sudden Blush

If you haven’t watched (and re-watched) Bridgerton, you might be in the minority. Sometimes the tension in a romantic comedy makes that that big moment even more pleasurable.

For this romantic cocktail, Trickett suggests a rosey-pink cocktail with a little extra effervescence from sparkling wine. With everything bubbling under the surface, it seems that romance is getting a little heated.

  • 2 parts Lillet Rose

  • 1 part fino sherry
  • 1 part raspberry puree
  • 1 part grape fruit juice

Romance can be a fresh squeeze with Notting Hill and Market Spritz

  • 3 parts Lillet Blanc
  • 2 parts Tangerine Juice
  • 2 parts sparkling wine

Method:

  • Combine all ingredients over ice in a wine glass
