Blueberry Matcha Lattes and doughnuts are now at Dunkin’
Dunkin’ is expanding its Matcha menu with two NEW options — Blueberry Matcha Lattes and Matcha Topped Donuts — and it sounds like the pick-me-up we’ve been waiting for. Both items are available at participating Dunkin’ restaurants nationwide beginning February 24.
If you aren’t a Matcha fan, you’re probably wondering why is this drink green and not blue? Well, Matcha is a bright green drink that’s made by taking young tea leaves (from the camellia sinensis plant), grinding them up, and then whisking that powder with hot water.
Dunkin’ first introduced Matcha to its menu in February 2020 providing coffee alternatives for its consumers and it quickly became a fan favorite.
We’re all looking for news ways to help us refresh during the day so let’s give these Matcha items a chance.
Are you ready to sip on some Blueberry Matcha Lattes?
The Blueberry Matcha Lattes combine Dunkin’s sweetened matcha green tea powder blend with blueberry flavor and guests’ choice of milk, including dairy-free alternative like oat milk and almond milk. The pairing of blueberry flavor and matcha is available in hot, iced and frozen varieties. Maybe the iced option will help put us in a tropical mindset. *Cue downloading beach backdrops for Zoom calls.*
And of course because we can’t go to Dunkin’ and not get a doughnut…
The Matcha Topped Donut features Dunkin’s signature Glazed Donut topped with Matcha powder “for an enticing green tea flavor balanced with craveable sweetness. The distinct flavor and eye-catching, vibrant green color are perfect for adventurous guests seeking a unique twist on a classic treat.”
Enough facts to try the new Blueberry Matcha Latte and Matcha Topped Donut? Need a little nudge to give it a try? Beginning February 24 through March 23, DD Perks members can earn points toward a free beverage reward twice as fast with the extra perk of 2X points (10 points per dollar rather than five) on any Matcha Latte purchase.
