While International Women’s Day brings the accomplishments of women to the forefront of the conversation, Hershey’s is celebrating “she” all around us. Like the “she” in Hershey, the accomplishments of women impact everyone’s daily lives but they might not be instantly recognizable. For this year’s celebration, shine a light on every “she” that has made the world a better place.

As the brand said, there is not Hershey’s without out “she.” While that statement is telling, it brings up an interesting point. Sometimes important people have a big impact on the world but it might not be instantly part of the conversation. Once it is pointed out, everyone sees the “she” in Hershey’s. But, it can be overlooked in the quest to eat that tasty chocolate bar.

A similar analogy can be made to some women’s accomplishments. Granted, history tells people that women have long impacted the world. From science to government and from law to entertainment, women have had an integral role in shaping the world today.

As Veronica Villasenor, Vice President, Chocolate, The Hershey Company, said, “We want to encourage everyone to share some extra goodness and take a moment to celebrate the ‘SHEs’; the women and girls who have inspired us, motivated us and have made a positive change in our lives.”

During Women’s History Month, women’s stories become the focus. It is a time to see how the “shes” changed the view. Hershey’s created this short video to celebrate some women who changed the world for the better.

While these women might be well-known names, women impact people’s lives on a daily basis. From the teacher who gives a child confidence to the friend who knows how to bring a smile on a difficult day, the “shes” who make a difference are at every turn.

In honor of International Women’s Day, Hershey’s will be giving away 1,000 “celebrate HerSHEy’s” bars to the first 1,000 visitors at the three Hershey’s Chocolate World locations.

Suzanne Jones, Vice President, The Hershey Experience, said, “Thousands of people walk through our doors at Hershey’s Chocolate World every day and create lifelong memories. We couldn’t think of a better place to put a smile on a face through the simple gesture of ‘Celebrating SHE’ and honoring all the women in our lives by giving out these limited-edition chocolate bars.”

Although not everyone can visit Chocolate World, everyone can celebrate a special “she” in their lives. With a little creativity, everyone can transform that classic chocolate bar into a “she” celebration.

Throughout Women’s History Month, Hershey’s will be sharing stories of “#CelebrateSHE” on social media. Everyone is encouraged to join in the conversation and share their own celebrate she moment.
