In the new The Great Food Truck Race Alaska, the food trucks are ready to take on a huge Food Network adventure. While the wilderness might be harsh, these food trucks are ready to take on the competition. Which team will chip through the challenges and succeed?

According to the Food Network, The Great Food Truck Race Alaska premiere, “Battle for the North” features the following:

"In the wilds of Alaska, seven aspiring food truck teams kick off the biggest, boldest season of the Great Food Truck Race. On Flattop Mountain overlooking Anchorage, Tyler Florence welcomes the teams to the competition. They have to break the keys to their food trucks out of 200-pound blocks of ice, and that’s only the beginning of their adventure. They won’t just be battling each other — they will be battling the elements as they compete to see who can prep and sell the most food and who will say goodbye to their food truck dreams forever."

Looking the first challenge, chopping through blocks of ice might be a symbol of the difficulties ahead. The cold and frigid climate could cause havoc for these food trucks. Will the Alaska wilderness be more difficult than anyone could have imagined?

As seen in a previous The Great Food Truck Race season, cold weather can be quite difficult for the food trucks. It isn’t that the Food Network teams don’t have tasty food or great cooking talent, the elements can be a big factor in their success. Sometimes the elements can be the difference between a great selling day and a disappointing one.

Even though these food trucks dream of the big prize, only one will the ultimate Food Network prize. Here’s how to watch The Great Food Truck Race Alaska premiere.
