As the brackets are revealed, Tournament of Champions Season 2 episode 3 starts the main rounds. While the wild card chefs look to make a big upset, the returning chefs want to retain their glory. But, will the randomizer really impact their fate?

According to Food Network, Tournament of Champions Season 2 episode 3, “The Bracket Begins” features the following:

"Guy Fieri welcomes the final 16 chefs into the Tournament of Champions arena and reveals the new and returning chefs’ seeds and matchups. The first round battles begin, and in three one-on-one sudden death battles, three chefs move on to the quarterfinals and three chefs are sent home."

While it is unclear which chefs are battling in this main bracket episode, the reality is clear that upsets are likely. Both Chefs Nyesha and Tiffani had very strong showings in the wild card rounds. It is a strong possibility that one or both of them could score an upset.

Although it doesn’t seem possible that Antonia LoFaso would lose to Brian Malarkey, the truth is nothing is simple in Tournament of Champions. From questionable ingredients to odd combinations, these chefs better be willing to play or face elimination.

The most interesting item is always the randomizer. While the chefs have learned not to tempt fate by saying which component they do not want, the reality is that the “random ingredients” can add to a potential upset. Hopefully, everyone gets all the components on the plate, in time. Otherwise, the Food Network judges’ decision might be easier than it seems.
