Hell’s Kitchen Season 19 episode 12 preview: You look good in black
In Hell’s Kitchen Season 19 episode 12, the chefs have reached the moment that they all wanted, the black jackets. Although all six chefs yearn for this new chef coat, the reality is that one chef will see that dream disappear before their eyes. Is the magic over?
According to FOX, Hell’s Kitchen Season 19 episode 12, “There’s Magic In Hell” features the following:
"The six remaining chefs visit Criss Angel’s theater, where the coveted Black Jackets are revealed. In their first challenge of the day, the chefs are tasked with recreating one of Chef Ramsay’s fish dishes based solely on taste. Then, two chefs battle to stay in the competition during an emotional “Cook For Your Life” challenge that takes them on a trip down memory lane in the all-new “There’s Magic In Hell?” episode of HELL’S KITCHEN airing Thursday March 25 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX."
Similar to other episodes, there is another showcase of a Caesars Entertainment performance. This one is Chris Angel. The Las Vegas season has been heavy on entertainment appearance versus chef appearances this season.
While the magic is entertaining, there is no magical spell that can instantly earn a chef a black jacket. The chefs need to prove their talent to Gordon Ramsay. Sometimes it is more than the leadership in the kitchen brigade. These chefs need to showcase their palate and creativity.
Looking the challenges, the taste it make it challenge is probably the most difficult. Based on previous blind tasting challenges, the chefs need to be confident in their ability. The dish might be a puzzle to solve, but there are no hidden tricks.
It will be interesting to see which chefs earn the black jackets first. No one wants to battle for the final jacket in the last challenge. While there have been a few tears along the way, no one wants to stumble before the black jacket goal.
