Hop Valley Brewery is Giving You Free Beer for Being Bitter

Whether you’re cracking open a craft beer or a classic lager like Coors, there’s nothing like an ice cold beer on a warm, sunny day. Lucky for you, National Beer Day is on April 7, and to celebrate the day, Hop Valley Brewing Co. is rewarding beer fans for their bitterness on social.

Hip, hip, hooray… we’re drinking IPAs.

Hop Valley Brewery Co. is rolling out the national launch for an IPA variety pack, CryoHops Stash Pack, which is available in:

• Bubble Stash (Alc. Vol. 6.2%): Mosaic Cryo Hops brings a blend of fruity flavors and a touch of resin to this tropical new age IPA.
• Mango Stash (Alc. Vol. 6.0%): Mosaic Cryo Hops and mango purée partner up to deliver a double punch of flavor and aroma.
• Cryo Stash (Alc. Vol. 8.7%): Simcoe Cryo Hops produce a smooth Imperial IPA bursting with tropical flavor and citrus aroma.
• Stash Panda (Alc. Vol. 6.5%): Citra Cryo Hops and a hefting helping of grapefruit peel gives this bright, hazy tropical ale an unmasked citrus flavor and aroma.

Like me, you’re probably wondering what’s up with ‘stash,’ and if you’re not a beer fanatic, what is a cryo hops? So let’s brew it down!

Hop Valley brewers reached into their “stash” of Cryo Hops.

Cryo Hops are a hop product in which lupulin, the yellow magic dust within a whole leaf hop, (which contains the essential oils and acids used for brewing), is cryogenically separated at sub-zero temps.

How To Get FREE Beer

The internet is notoriously bitter. Yes, all eyes on you, Twitter.

So, Hop Valley is doing something about the bitterness and negativity brewing online in honor of the national launch of its less bitter, refreshing IPAs (aka the Cryo Hops that I explained earlier).

Introducing the IBU-O-Meter (Internet Bitterness Units… Ometer), which will evaluate how bitter you really are on Twitter and let you redeem your bitterness for FREE BEER!

Calling All Bitter People to Participate 

• Head to IBU-O-METER.com and submit your Twitter handle.
• Hop Valley will generate an IBU score based on how bitter you’ve been lately (can you blame us though, we’ve been locked in our houses for a year).
• Then redeem your free beer! (Disclaimer, you’ll have to purchase one (1) 12-pack of Hop Valley (any variety) and submit an image of your receipt to receive a rebate via PayPal or Venmo.
