Mad Good Food premieres on Tastemade with inspirational, flavorful food
Fans of Tastemade have a new must watch food TV show with Mad Good Food. While that phrase might be used to describe an impressive dish, the reality is that Derrell Smith is ready to guide viewers through a food conversation. Blending culture and ingenuity, Mad Good Food proves that it is always possible to spread love through food.
While Derrell Smith might not be a household name, the former NFL football player has uncovered a recipe for success. After his Amazeballs meatball recipe won him major accolades, Smith went on to serve his food in places like the Barclays Center and other major establishments.
Finding success in the food industry, Smith joined forces with Tastemade and Mad Good Food was born. The series is part cooking demo, part storytelling and highly entertaining.
Here’s an exclusive preview clip of Mad Good Food.
The food TV show on Tastemade weaves a part of Smith’s culture into each episode. From telling stories about his family to his inspiration behind the dish, his personality flavors each recipe.
More importantly, Smith makes viewers want to cook. From his vivacious persona to his approachable cooking, he encourages home cooks to embrace what is possible with a set of ingredients. Only positivity is allowed in his kitchen.
While the new Tastemade show is entertaining, the cooking techniques highlighted in each episode will make viewers come back for more. Since each episode is broken into a family meal and two smaller meals, home cooks can learn that the same ingredients have a multitude of uses.
In many ways, this cooking approach not only lends itself to kitchen creativity, but also it ensures that no food goes wasted. When one meal can turn into several dishes, everyone is happy to eat those ingredients over and over again.
Mad Good Food will premiere on Thursday, April 8 at 8:30 p.m. EST/5:30 p.m. PST on Tastemade. Following the premiere, the show will move to its regular slot at 8:00 p.m. EST/5:00 p.m. PST on Thursday, April 15.
