Chick-fil-A adds a new spring salad that is bursting with bright flavors
The iconic Chick-fil-A lemonade has a new food pairing. The new Lemon Kale Caesar Salad is a delicious spring salad that is bursting with bright flavors. Even though that classic Southern style chicken sandwich will always be a menu craving, this new food option could make you switch dinner plans. Ready to take a taste?
Available starting on April 26, the Lemon Kale Caesar Salad is a new seasonal menu item. Although no end date was announced, the limited time offer might be best enjoyed soon and often at participating restaurants.
According to the restaurant brand, the new Lemon Kale Caesar Salad “combines warm Grilled Nuggets on a bed of romaine and kale with shaved parmesan cheese and lemon wedges, served with a Lemon Caesar Vinaigrette dressing and Lemon Parmesan Panko topping.” This salad is the first time that the restaurant is featuring warm grilled nuggets. Previously, guests have been able to ask for different chicken on their salad, but this particular combination is new.
Kaitlin Miller, menu category leader at Chick-fil-A, Inc. commented about the brand’s decision to bring more variety to the menu. Miller said, “it’s a delicious lower calorie salad option for those who enjoy a traditional Caesar Salad and those looking to try something new. After testing this item in 2017 and receiving great feedback, we’re excited to add it to our 2021 lineup of seasonal offerings.”
What other new seasonal menu items are coming to Chick-fil-A?
Since the new spring salad deserves a tasty beverage pairing, an off-beverage item is getting an official name. The Chick-fil-A Sunjoy combined the iconic Chick-fil-A lemonade with its freshly-brewed Sweetened Iced Tea. The beverage can be adapted to feature diet lemonade and/or unsweetened iced tea.
Available April 26, the Sunjoy beverage will be a permanent menu item. Maybe this new announcement could spark a trend of other secret menu items becoming part of the permanent menu.
Springtime looks to be a bright, refreshing one at the popular quick service restaurant. With all these lemon flavors joining the menu, many people will be puckering up with a big burst of flavor.
