Worst Cooks in America Season 22 premiere: Michael Symon joins bootcamp
In Worst Cooks in America Season 22 premiere, Michael Symon gets his first taste of bootcamp. As the newest Food Network chef to help these struggling chefs, will Chef Symon be laughing over the cooking disasters?
According to the Food Network, Worst Cooks in America Season 22 premiere, “Redemption and Boardwalk Snacks” features the following:
"Eight recruits return to finally master the kitchen under the mentorship of Anne Burrell and Michael Symon. The chefs challenge the recruits to remake the dish that sent them home the first time. Then former Worst Cooks recruits watch and comment on an episode in which the contestants compete in boardwalk-themed cooking challenges led by Chef Anne and Chef Alex Guarnaschelli."
Since this new Worst Cooks in America season features returning recruits, it will be interesting to see if anyone retained any of their cooking skills. In previous seasons, some of these recruits learned a decent amount of cooking. Hopefully, all that information hasn’t left the kitchen.
Looking at the returning recruits, there are a lot of big personalities in the kitchen. Given that the first episode has them reliving their last bootcamp defeat, the reality is that those dishes might be a little emotional. No one likes to focus on negative memories.
For some Food Network viewers, they will be watching Michael Symon. As the new member of the show, it will be interesting to see his reaction to all this cooking chaos. While Carla Hall was supportive, Alton Brown had a stern tone and Alex Guarnaschelli was often feeling disbelief, Anne Burrell might have some stiff competition for her rocking red stars. Could Chef Symon be these recruits kitchen savior?
