One of the returning recruits could be crowned Worst Cooks in America Season 22 winner. While four started the finale, only one would earn the title of worst to first. Did Domaine Javier add a title to her tiara collection?

In Worst Cooks in America Season 22, the returning recruits have shown that they have picked up a few cooking skills along the way. Even if they may still be ordering in at home, they have mastered some cooking techniques, appreciate building flavors and can execute a good dish.

With the four recruits trying to earn their spot in the final three course meal, everyone went to a grocery store to buy their own food and cook whatever they wanted. Although there was no direction, all four recruits made some smart choices. It is about showing that they know how to build and execute a dish.

While all four dishes were a big improvement from the first episode, the food on the plate wasn’t absolutely perfect. From Domaine mistakenly making a compound butter to Sadie needing to cook her burger a little better, everyone isn’t quite ready to join the kitchen brigade. Still, these dishes would impress most people.

Who cooked the finale meal to determine the Worst Cooks in America Season 22 winner?

Since only two recruits could cook the finale meal, Anne Burrell picked Sadie and Michael Symon picked Domaine Javier. Even though Domaine made a compound butter versus a sauce, it seemed destined for her to be in the finale dinner. Lulu was just a little too scattered too often.

For the three course meal, both dinners were quite impressive. From flavor profiles to execution, recruits did a good job. There were no horrible mistakes in the finale dinner.

Listening to the three well-respected chefs critique the dishes, the commentary was honest. From preferring to have the bok choy cut better to preferring a little more seasoning in a dish, the little differences in the dishes set the three course meals apart from the other.

In the end, the Worst Cooks in America Season 22 winner was Sadie. This win for Anne Burrell continues her winning ways. That trophy shelf is getting quite full for the red kitchen.

Even though Michael Symon did not win, he was a good addition to the Worst Cooks in America franchise. From his personality to his ability to explain cooking techniques and recipes, he would make a welcome addition to the Food Network franchise. Who knows which chef will join Anne Burrell for Season 23.
