As the bakers return to Crime Scene Kitchen, did their first taste of the baking challenge leave them hungry for more? While a few baking teams followed the path to success, the reality is that each mystery has new clues. Could there be a big fall from grace in this episode?

According to FOX, Crime Scene Kitchen, “Just Desserts” features the following:

"The bakers head back into the kitchen to take on a new, delicious challenge. The best dessert detectives will continue on in the competition and the duo that falls short will head home on the all-new “Just Desserts” episode of CRIME SCENE KITCHEN airing Wednesday, June 9 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX."

Since this episode features returning bakers, the second time examining the baking clues should be a little easier. Although each challenge stands on its own merits, the reality is that there is a little learning curve to this culinary competition.

After seeing that some clues are red herrings and other clues are very important, the bakers should start to adapt to the concepts. Just because a cake pan is in the kitchen doesn’t mean that the dessert is a cake. Being smart with the process can lead the bakers to the right conclusion.

Still, Crime Scene Kitchen is part solving the mystery and part execution. In some ways, the two components are forever intertwined. Even the best tasting dessert can fail because it is totally unrelated to the actual dessert crime.

In this episode, there is a guest judge Cheryl Hines. It will be interesting to see how a guest judge adds to the dynamic of the mystery. Her favorite dessert might offer a different approach then Curtis Stone and Yolanda Gampp.

Which baking team will leave the Crime Scene Kitchen because they missed all the obvious clues? Here’s how to watch the “Just Desserts” episode.
