MasterChef Legends: Paul Deen brings her Southern charm to the kitchen, preview

As the final set of aprons are given out, MasterChef Legends welcomes the delightful Paula Deen to the kitchen. Can these home cooks present a dish that will make the Southern queen smile?

According to FOX, MasterChef Legends: Paula Deen – Auditions Round 3 episode features the following:

"It’s the final audition round of the season and only five of the 15 white aprons remain unclaimed for the season. The undeniable queen of Southern cuisine, Paula Deen is this week’s legendary guest judge, alongside Gordon, Joe & Aarón in the all-new “Legends: Paula Deen – Auditions Round 3” episode of MASTERCHEF airing Wednesday, June 16 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX."

In the first two audition rounds, the chefs who have impressed the judges presented dishes that had a strong personal connection. It isn’t that the dish was necessarily perfection, trendy or restaurant quality. Each dish proves that the person who cooked it felt a connection to the ingredients and took care to present the best possible food.

Even though these home cooks might be stars in their home kitchens, they have to earn that praise from the MasterChef Legends. An apron is not received just because they feel that they deserve it. That food needs to be something special, show promise and make an impression.

Although these signature dishes share great insight about the individual cook, the food doesn’t necessarily give insight on how a home cook will perform in the actual competition. Earning an apron is just the first step. Keeping that apron is a much tougher task.
