Crime Scene Kitchen episode 5 preview: Rock and roll desserts hit the right note?

After a few missed clues in the previous episode, Crime Scene Kitchen episode 5 is looking to hit the right notes. While the rock and roll lifestyle might be filled with the extremes, these bakers better not overlook the tiny details in that dessert.

According to FOX, Crime Scene Kitchen episode 5, “Rock and Roll,” features the following:

"The bakers head back into the kitchen to take on a new delicious challenge. The best dessert detectives will continue on in the competition and the duo that falls short will head home in the all-new “Rock and Roll” episode of CRIME SCENE KITCHEN airing Wednesday, June 23 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX."

Although these bakers have been through several challenges, the competition isn’t getting easier. In some ways, the clues are becoming more nuanced and confusing.

While the first couple of challenges lead the bakers down the right path, if they were observant, the competition might not be so easy. Just like all the notes need to be in harmony, not all clues make for the perfect dessert.

With this group of bakers, Thomas and Cathy seem to know the secret to this competition. Throughout all the challenges, they have followed the clues to success. Even though Thomas might be a little jumpy in the kitchen, this duo seems to be inching its way to the finale.

But, there are no guarantees in Crime Scene Kitchen. In the previous episode, no one created the right dessert. It wasn’t that the desserts were tasty, but they meet the challenge. As Yolanda Gampp shared, a well-executed dessert is only one part of the successful equation.
