Gordon Ramsay Uncharted Iceland preview: Fire, ice and unique culinary flair

Heading to a trending travel locale, Gordon Ramsay Uncharted Iceland will show that the land of fire and ice is more than just gorgeous views. That natural wonder influences the scrumptious food ingredients on the plate.

According to Nat Geo, Gordon Ramsay Uncharted Iceland features the following: “Gordon visits Iceland’s west coast to discover ingredients and cooking techniques that utilize the land of fire and ice’s native volcanic landscape.”

While this synopsis might not reveal all the various details of the episode, the reality is that there is a little mystery to the country. At the same time, the popular destination has become a foodie haven thanks to Chef Ragnar Eiríksson.

Previously, he was part of the team that was awarded Iceland’s first Michelin star. By highlighting the northern Icelandic culture and unique food offerings, he showcased how local food and traditions can be elevated in innovative ways.

Now at his own restaurant Vinstukan, which is located in Reykjavik, his tapas style restaurant features natural wines as well as local produce. While some of the Icelandic traditions continues, his style is continuing to evolve.

Like all Gordon Ramsay Uncharted episodes, this culinary adventure will balance various challenges and intriguing food finds. Although this season has seen fewer unusual proteins, the application to the home cook has been greater. Whether it is cooking an amazing ribeye or appreciating the nuances of fresh caught fish, many foodies have been inspired to cook along with the celebrated chefs.
