Coors Light is making a grand slam bet on the MLB All Star Game
As baseball’s elite gather for the MLB All Star Game, Coors Light is upping the ante on that game. Since the event will be played at Coors Field in Denver, Colorado, the Rocky Mountain refreshment will be on everyone’s mind. But, can that beer inspire an event that hasn’t happened in 33 years?
While the MLB All Star Game can be a celebration for the fans, the reality is that the game does give the players an opportunity to show their skills. But, sometimes the game can lack those big moments.
Did you know that it has been 33 years since a grand slam home run has been hit at an MLB All Star Game? Since Coors Field is considered “the most home-run friendly ballpark,” this year could be the year and Coors Light is betting it will be.
According to the beer brand, “If anyone hits a grand slam, Coors will give that player’s state a beer on us.” In order to grab this free beer, simply “post #CoorsGrandSlam #Promo on Twitter when it happens.”
Now, everyone likes free beer, but some people might feel a little FOMO. Not all states are represented with the MLB teams. So, even though everyone could win a free beer, there are some people who might not have a player in the game.
Still, these food and sports promotions are great for foodies and sports fans. As seen with the recent Coors Light and Tampa Bay Lightning Champions Ice beer, there are always ways to bring that Rocky Mountain refreshment to the people. The creative potential is never ending.
For now, just keep your fingers crossed for a glam slam home run at the MLB All Star Game. While people might complain that there is no free lunch, a free beer just might be coming in hot.
What has been your favorite Coors Light promotion? Can you think of a fun promotion that the beer brand should try?
