Although this epic food offering isn’t available in your closest drive through, it does beg the question. What do you enjoy with the World’s Most Expensive French Fries?

On National French Fry Day, Serendipity3 created the most epic French fry offering. The “Creme de la Crème Pommes Frites” costs $200 and it was certified as the World’s Most Expensive French Fries. Although this special dish is available only by advance request, it begs the question, what makes these fries so epic?

According to Serendipity3, these expensive French fries include some of the world’s most coveted ingredients. From the Chipperbeck Potatoes that are blanched in Dom Perignon to the shaved black summer truffles from Umbria to the Crete Senesi Pecorino Tartufello, just a small bite of this dish is worth a fortune. Add to that dish a sprinkling of 23K edible gold dust, these French fries are fit for food royalty.

While these World’s Most Expensive French Fries could be part of the Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous, it isn’t the only pricey item available at Serendipity3. The legendary New York City restaurant might be going for even more records.

Currently the restaurant has garnered other “expensive food” titles. Records include “the most expensive milkshake, most expensive sandwich, and most expensive dessert.” While these special food items are fun, it is part of the panache of the New York City iconic. Even if the majority of guests would never order one, it is fun to say that you’ve enjoyed a meal at the restaurant that holds these titles.

Looking ahead, it will be interesting to see what other food World Records Serendipity3 looks to earn. While the restaurant is known for its decadent offerings, maybe it might be time to tackle a salad. Sometimes everyone needs a little food variety.
