Westin Cape Coral Resort highlights Florida fresh in new menu offerings
Nestled on the West Coast of Florida, the Westin Cape Coral Resort at Marina Village recently completed a huge resort renovation. While the luxurious resort delivers all the amenities that guests crave, the renovation focuses on the concept of biophilia. That deeply rooted desire to connect with nature and that concept influenced décor elements as well as the overall aesthetic.
While the ambiance welcomes guests into the nurturing environment, the Westin Cape Coral Resort revitalized its dining offerings as well. The two on-site restaurants, Nauti Mermaid Dockside Bar & Grill and Marker 92 Waterfront Bar & Bistro are inspired by the waterfront location and appeal to that Florida fresh approach.

She said, “On the heels of the resort’s guestroom and suite renovation, we felt it fitting to similarly revamp the dining menus at our two restaurants The Nauti Mermaid Dockside Bar & Grill and Marker 92 Waterfront Bar & Bistro this summer. Both restaurants’ waterfront locations and our food and beverage team’s relationships with the area’s local purveyors set the tone and theme for the new menus. Each dish was thoughtfully created to incorporate ingredients sourced mainly from farmers and fisherman in the region, as we want to showcase and support the local bounty, our focus is fresh flavors. The new menus offer a special dining experience in Cape Coral with a true sense of place.”
Some of the new menu highlights include a Sanibel Pink Shrimp Primavera with seasonal roasted vegetables, cavatappi pasta, scampi sauce. The sweetness of the pink shrimp is highlighted by the seasonal vegetables. The contrast of the roasting flavors and the luscious sauce is quite appealing.
For an elevated dish the Herb-Crusted Fresh Catch is a must try. With a saffron cream topping the sweet potato hash, the fresh catch is pure perfection.
Lastly, the Florida Salad is a bounty of location ingredients. The mix of flavors and textures makes this dish quite satisfying.
