While candy fans can always debate the preference between right and left TWIX, there is another food debate in the candy aisle. Is salty or sweet the best part of the new TWIX Salted Caramel?

Some flavor combinations just work well. That touch of salt with a sweet caramel is quite delightful. While it might seem counter-intuitive, the sweetness is heightened with a little salt. It is a foundation of many dessert recipes.

Salted caramel has become a popular choice in the dessert world. What might have started as a food trend has come a dessert staple. While some peanut candies can offer that saltiness, it is different. In some ways, it is like a great dish finished with a touch of salt. That little extra is flavor perfection.

According to Michelle Deignan, Mars Wrigley Senior Brand Director. “We’re thrilled to bring better moments and more smiles to fans by introducing TWIX Salted Caramel, the perfect treat for those who favor cookie & sweet and salty flavor combinations.”

With the new TWIX Salted Caramel, the classic candy bar has a heightened flavor experience. Under that classic milk chocolate coating is the crunchy cookie and a salted caramel.

Since many people choose TWIX because of its creamy, crunchy texture, the addition of the salty and sweet component makes the candy even more satisfying. In some ways, it could be the perfect candy. It seems to hit all the flavor profiles. And, even if you can’t decide is right or left TWIX is tastier, this new flavor might make an argument that both sides deserve to be devoured.
