MasterChef Legends finale hold this unique distinction
After trying to mimic the speed and execution of award winning chefs, three home cooks have earned their spot in the MasterChef Legends finale. While some people might have correctly predicted one or two home cooks who earned that chef coat, the final three home cooks present a first for MasterChef. Could this scenario represent a trend in Gordon Ramsay competitions?
The fierce battle for the final proved too much for Alejrandro. While he can produce some amazing flavors, the home cook was too scattered in the semi-final. Instead of following the steps of the masters, in some ways he went rogue, which defeated the purpose of the challenge.
In the end, Alejandro came up just short of the finale. Like many of his dishes throughout the season, there was just a little too much on the plate. He needs to learn how to edit and listen. When he can channel that enthusiasm productively, Alejandro can be a great chef.
With his elimination, the three finalist are Amber, Kelsey and Suu. The all women finale is a first for MasterChef. Given that this season was MasterChef Legends, it seems fitting that the unique result is somewhat legendary.
Having an all female finale is encouraging for many viewers at home. It is more than just picking a favorite home cook and wishing for the ultimate victory. Those home cooks stand as an example that anyone can achieve that dream.
From the mom who just cooks chicken nuggets and buttered noodles to the immigrant with her grandmother’s book of recipes, the ability to achieve dreams is open to all. The opportunity is waiting, but people have to be willing to grab it.
Although there is just one more challenge waiting to overcome, the MasterChef Legends finale could be won by any three of these women chefs. Whoever stays calm, follows a plan and executes will earn the ultimate glory.
