This city loves Chick-fil-A milkshakes so much it gets an exclusive flavor

While many people cannot resist that Southern style chicken sandwich and lemonade, Chick-fil-A milkshakes often end the meal on a sweet note. While that cookies and cream flavor might tempt a sip before the waffle fries are gone, it seems that one city cannot get enough of that Icedream dessert. Now, that special distinction has earned them the coveted first sip of a new exclusive flavor.

According to Chick-fil-A, Salt Lake City consumes the most Chick-fil-A milkshakes of any city nationwide. Even though those snow capped mountains might not scream a love of a chilly dessert, it seems that guests cannot resist that sweet sip. With 1.5 million milkshakes ordered in 2020, it seems that Salt Lake City is a sip above the rest.

In honor of Salt Lake City’s special distinction, Chick-fil-A is giving the location the first exclusive taste of a new milkshake flavor. From September 27 through October 30, restaurants in that market will get to try the new Autumn Spice Milkshake.

Beth Hefner from the Chick-fil-A Menu Development Team, said “We’re excited to offer guests more menu variety this year, and that includes testing out new fall flavors like the Autumn Spice Milkshake. Our guests look forward to our seasonal milkshakes every year, and we’re excited to put Salt Lake City’s tastebuds to the test with this delicious blend of rich, autumn-inspired flavors.”

The new Autumn Spice Milkshake is described as an Icedream dessert with flavors of cinnamon, cardamom and orange. Also, it includes crunchy bits of speculoos cookies (the same cookies that are often associated with cookie butter).

While many brands and quick service restaurants have focused on all things pumpkin, it is nice to see Chick-fil-A offering a different take on fall flavors. Those warm spices are inviting. In some ways, the flavors are a little more winter forward with the orange and the cardamon versus the typical pie spices.

Although the Autumn Spice Milkshake is just a limited time, limited offering, it could find its way to other restaurants at a future time. Being the quick service restaurant that sets itself apart from the rest is one of the reasons why Chick-fil-A continues to have such a loyal customer base.
