Hersheypark Halloween events celebrate sweetness before and after dark
As the kids contemplate the perfect Halloween costume, candy is filling their holiday dreams. The Hersheypark Halloween events are the biggest treat for guests of all ages. From enjoying the thrills to satisfying that sweet tooth, the bounty of deliciousness awaits.
While Hersheypark might be home to the first looping coaster and choose your own thrill ride, many guests choose to visit the popular theme park before of its connection to Hershey’s and all things candy. Even if guests fulfill their singing dreams by stepping on the Pepsi Pop Star Stage and enjoy the views from the top of the Kissing Tower, the reality is that the Hersheypark Halloween events have an added sweet element this year.
With Food Network debuting its new show, Chocolate Meltdown: Hershey’s After Dark, the theme park is building on that food television event to offer guests even more sweet fun. Although the competition has already finished filming, guests can step into some of the experiences that the pastry chefs will enjoy. From the thrilling rides at night to sampling all the popular Hershey’s candy, there are new experiences to be discovered and favorite times to be revisited.
According to Suzanne Jones, Vice President, The Hershey Experience, Showcasing the best of what Hershey, Pa. has to offer – from Hershey’s Chocolate World to Hersheypark – on Food Network has been a unique special experience that only Hershey can provide. The most exciting part is that people can actually experience their favorite parts of the show in real life, right here in Hershey.” As guests have their own “chocolate meltdown experience” it is a reminder that food, fun and family make the sweetest memories that last a lifetime.
Created especially for this year’s celebration is a Chocolate Meltdown: Hershey After Dark S’mores & Melted Hot Chocolate. As Maneet Chauhan, one of the Food Network judges, told FoodSided, enjoying a hot chocolate on the Ferris wheel was her favorite experience while judging.
This specially crafted treat inspired by the show is a rich cup of melted hot chocolate. Even if there isn’t a fire for these s’mores, this s’more might inspire delicious treats long after leaving the theme park.
Beyond this treat, guests can trick or treat at 13 stops along the trail, enjoy special “Live on Set!” Chocolate Meltdown: Hershey’s After Dark Photo Opportunity and even enjoy the thrills in the dark, just like the pastry artists on the Food Network show.
In addition, the Reese’s Candy Converter is back. Now anyone can have the experience of making candy dreams come true.
