What are the IHOP new menu items?
According to IHOP, the six new Melts blend both classic flavors with some bolder options. Although each bite is bursting with cheesy goodness, the reality is that these sandwiches fill that portability quotient. From the to-go order to a little extra for another meal, that ability to ditch the fork and knife has an appeal for many guests.

While the ideas and flavors aren’t necessarily a brand-new innovation, the addition of more comfort food options seems to satisfy guests’ cravings. Sometimes classic food served in a new way is just the bite that people want.
Each of the new Melts feature Wisconsin Whole Milk Cheese. Given that Wisconsin Cheese is consider a cheese authority, the addition of this ingredient on the new Melts shows IHOP’s commitment to flavor. The most innovative menu offering is the Cali Roasted Turkey Melt. In some ways, this recipe is one that people might steal for their own Thanksgiving leftovers. From the roasted cherry tomatoes to the hickory-smoked bacon, the flavors all come together in perfect harmony.
Another innovation is the BBQ Mac Melt. With a creamy BBQ sauce and cheese, it is almost a food mash-up that people didn’t know that they needed. With some pickles to cut through the richness, the Melt might have people skipping a side of mac and cheese with BBQ for this sandwich.

Whether guests are looking to control the amount of sauce or just like interactive food, it will be interesting to see if more restaurants add this type of dipping sauce option. It could be a way to increase customization and customer satisfaction.
The new Melts are served with a choice of sides, including French fries, onion rings, seasonal fresh fruit, side salad or two buttermilk pancakes.
