As the Halloween Wars Season 11 finale looks to crown a winner, the reality is that this season of the popular Food Network show might have had a few too many spooks for the teams to handle. Was the Halloween Wars season’s finale cursed?

According to the Food Network, the Halloween Wars Season 11 finale, “Dueling Monsters” features the following:

"t’s the spine-tingling finale of Halloween Wars! The final two teams go head-to-head for the $25,000 prize as they craft cakes that show what happens when two monsters square off in a duel. Zak Bagans shares his paranormal expertise, and judges Eddie Jackson, Shinmin Li and Aarti Sequeira choose the winner."

The idea of a dueling monsters should spark some extra creativity in the finale. Although having more than one character on the display can be daunting, the visual should be impressive. Given all the displays this season, no one will be playing it safe in this finale.

Although it is hard to predict a winner, Mischievous Monsters excels with characters and sculpting. As seen in the most recent episode, their vampire doing yoga was impressive. From the expression on the face to the definition in the muscle, everything was on point.

In addition, Mischievous Monsters have delivered on flavors. While the display is always the focal point, the cake flavors and dessert twists are part of the challenge. If those items are not flavorful, the team may not earn the big prize.

But, Ghost with the Most is looking to find a way to win. Although their cake and twist element were not as tasty in the previous episode, the display was enough to make it to the finale. Could they find a way to win?

One element is missing from the Halloween Wars Season 11 finale, the pumpkins. As many Food Network fans commented at the start of the season, the lack of pumpkin carving has made them long for previous seasons.

Although people appreciate that the past year has caused changes in culinary competitions, the carved pumpkins in the Halloween displays is what made Halloween Wars so unique. Hopefully at some point, that element will return to the Food Network competition.

Which team do you think will earn victory in the Halloween Wars Season 11 finale? Do you think that this season delivered a shocking outcome?
