Peet’s Coffee adds new plant-based holiday coffee
As the temperature fall, Peet’s Coffee has a new plant-based holiday coffee that has everyone cheering. It seems that plant-based food is the biggest holiday beverage trend. Ready to take a sip?
The holidays are always filled with tradition. While those festive sentiments take center stage, people are looking for food and flavors that fill the season with warmth and joy. When that first sip brings a smile, happy memory or just a moment of calmness, the coffee roasters have done their job.
According to Doug Welsh, Master Coffee Roaster at Peet’s Coffee, “This holiday season is especially important as many of our customers will reunite with their loved ones after extended time apart. So in addition to our festive seasonal beverages, we crafted our special Holiday Blend to enjoy at home, around the table or around the fire. You know what joy feels like. Here’s what it tastes like.”
What is the new plant-based holiday coffee from Peet’s Coffee?
While certain flavors are holiday classics, the new plant-based holiday coffee at Peet’s Coffee seems to follow food trends for the season. From almond milk to oat milk, these beverages show that guests want options beyond the traditional latte.
The new plant-based holiday coffee at Peet’s is the Holiday Spice Cold Brew Oat Foam Latte. The Baridi Blend cold brew is combined with holiday spiced. The coffee is then topped with a “pillow of oat foam.” From the delightful visual to the delectable flavor, this holiday beverage is one to enjoy numerous times over the season.
In addition to the Holiday Spice Cold Brew Oat Foam Latte, Holiday Spice Latte, available both iced and hot, is full of holiday baking spices. The ginger, allspice, cloves, nutmeg, and even cinnamon make the coffee sing with holiday cheer.
For a sweeter option, the Peppermint Mocha returns to the menu. The classic combination of mint and chocolate is delightful on a chilly day.
Lastly, Peet’s App Members have an exclusive holiday beverage. The Mint Match Latte features Japanese green matcha tea. Paired with peppermint and steamed milk, it is different take on the traditional holiday flavors.
What can guests expect from Peet’s Coffee Holiday Blend?
The 2021 Peet’s Coffee Dark Roast Holiday Blend offers a robust flavor. According to the brand, the coffee features “Guatemalan chocolate, smooth Kenyan blackcurrant, and Ethiopian candied peel with a syrupy Sumatra finish.” While not sugar cookies or gingerbread, the coffee finds a way to bring a touch of sweetness without losing the coffee essence. For those chilly winter days, this coffee will offer a soothing sip.
The Dark Roast Holiday Blend is available in regular, decaf and K-Cups. In addition, the holiday offering gives back.
According to the brand, Peet’s will donate $1 to La Cocina for every pound of Peet’s Holiday Blend that is purchased both at the coffeebar and online. La Cocina is a “Bay Area non-profit committed to increasing inclusivity of BIPOC and immigrant food entrepreneurs in the food industry.”
