Arby’s Fry Vodka might be the perfect fast food beverage pairing
While Arby’s has the meats, the limited-edition Arby’s Fry Vodka might be a game changer. Has the popular quick service restaurant created the perfect fast food beverage pairing?
Many restaurant brands want a way to stand out in a crowd. From special deals to limited time offers, being part of the news cycle is as important as having an iconic menu item.
Over the years, quick service restaurant menus have evolved. From embracing food trends to creative food and beverage pairings, that fast food is more than just another quick meal.
Why did Arby’s create Arby’s Fry Vodka?
While many people rejoiced as Arby’s Crinkle Fries became a permanent menu item, the brand thought that fry-lovers needed an innovative way to celebrate. The idea of a vodka made from fries sounded like a creative approach to get people talking about and enjoying that craveable flavor.
According to Patrick Schwing, CMO of Arby’s, “Though we’ve mastered the art of drive-thru fries, we wanted to take is one step further – by making them 80-proof. Being a potato-based liquor, this limited-edition vodka is infused with crinkle and curly fry flavor so Arby’s fans can enjoy our menu from bag to bottle.”
Just like curly fries and crinkle fries have their own unique flavors, the two Arby’s Fry Vodka flavors have their distinctive flavors. The Curly Fry Vodka has been distilled with “cayenne, paprika, onion and garlic.” The combination of seasonings highlights the peppery notes in a vodka. For the Crinkle Fry Vodka, the kosher salt and sugar add an approachable note to this vodka offering.
Since these new vodkas stem from culinary creativty, Arby’s has partnered with Justin Sutherland. The celebrated chef and Arby’s fan has created two Bloody Mary recipes.
In addition to the Arby’s Fry Vodka, the recipes include other favorite Arby’s menu items. From Horsey Sauce to Arby’s Sauce, each cocktail incorporates those classic flavors. Plus, the cocktail adds various menu items as garnishes. All the cocktail recipes will be available on November 18.
The first drop of Arby’s Fry Vodka will be available on November 18th at 12 p.m. EST followed by a second drop on November 22nd. A bottle will sell for $59.99 and will be available for purchase on ArbysVodka.com. The price includes shipping and handling.
