Toast to the CMA Awards with Beringer Bros Spirit Aged Wines
At the Biggest Night in Country Music, the attendees at the CMA Awards will be raising a glass of Beringer Bros Spirit Aged Wines, the Official Wine of “The 55th Annual CMA Awards.” The exclusive pour at the annual event is the perfect pairing to celebrate the best and brightest of country music.
For the special event, the 2019 Beringer Bros Bourbon Barrel Aged Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon will be poured. As Chief Marketing Officer at Treasury Wine Estates, Carl Evans commented, the opportunity is both and honor and a privilege to showcase the nuanced wine that is delightful on its own or even transformed into a wine cocktail.
When Jacob and Frederick Beringer began re-purposing spirit barrels to age wine, the business decision turned out to be more than just better for the bottom line. The use of the spirit barrels added another layer of complexity, depth and flavor to the resulting wines.
As seen in the varietals, aging in spirit barrels creates a more robust wine. From toasted hazelnuts to rich caramel to sweet vanilla, the layers of flavor mimic many notes often found in bourbon. For spirits drinkers, these wines have become a favorite.
While beverages often are featured at award ceremonies, the Beringer Bros Bourbon Barrel Aged Wines is a perfect pairing because of the nod to Southern culture. That connection to the bourbon trail makes it a delightful choice to toast to country music’s best and brightest.

Although many wine drinkers enjoy that simple pour, wine cocktails can be a delightful way to enjoy a glass. Beyond the traditional spritz, wine can add complexity to even a classic cocktail.
For the CMA Awards, Beringer Bros Spirit Aged Wines suggests Beringer Bros. Wine-ing Julep Cocktail Recipe. A twist on a classic Mint Julep, the wine takes center stage. This cocktail has all the flavors of the classic cocktail yet isn’t as strong as a traditional bourbon cocktail. Still, the flavors from aging in the barrel add the hint of bourbon-like flavors which makes this cocktail a winner.
