Worst Cooks in America Season 24 adds a new twist to the competition
As Anne Burrell steps back into Food Network mentor role, Worst Cooks in America Season 24 has a new challenge waiting for her. In addition to Chef Cliff Crooks taking over the Blue Team, the recruits could be offering up double kitchen disasters.
Burrell shared, “I have the greatest time hosting Worst Cooks in America and look forward to teaching our contestants and viewers on this show, as well as other series, how to cook like rock stars.” While Burrell has been on a hot streak with her Rocking Red Stars, it takes the right balance to whip these recruits into shape. Even though her red pen is ready, it isn’t always smooth sailing.
Over the years, Burrell has been able to guide many worsts into confident cooks. As Courtney White, President, Food Network and Streaming Food Content, Discovery Inc., commented “Anne has been an integral part of the success of Worst Cooks from the very beginning. And we knew pairing Anne with newcomer Cliff Crooks would make for one of the freshest and most fun seasons yet.”
According to the Food Network, Worst Cooks in America Season 24 has the recruits working in pairs. While the Worst Cooks has seen plenty of cooking catastrophes, the idea of combining two cooking hopefuls together could be the leave the kitchen in flames.
While some of these cooking pairs know each other, others are strangers. It will be interesting to see which combination is more successful. No matter the outcome, the new format adds another dimension to the popular Food Network cooking competition.
Since the Worst Cooks In America Season 24 announcement was coupled with Burrell’s contract extensions, fans of the popular series will get to see more of those food fiascos in the kitchen. It seems that there might be no end to the cooking competition.
Worst Cooks in America Season 24 debuts on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at 9 p.m. In addition, discovery+ subscribers can get a sneak peak of the premiere episode starting on December 29, 2021.
