For the new Iced Sugar Cookie Almondmilk Latte, Erin Marinan, product development manager for Starbucks R&D, thought of a classic holiday cookie that she enjoyed making with her mother. While there is a “taste of nostalgia,” the beverage does capture a classic baking combination.

The new Starbucks holiday beverage was inspired by the Spritz cookie. The classic “pressed” cookie looks pretty on a plate, but the flavor is what brings people back for more. The almond flavor with a touch of buttery sweetness will always be a favorite on the cookie plate.
