As many people hope that holiday travel will be filled with friendly skies, the possibility of travel delight could cause the Grinch to show his less than cheery head. With this Shake Shack free fry promotion, some holiday travelers will have a little more merry with that flight delay.

Recently Shake Shack shared that “AAA estimates more than 109 million Americans will travel over the holidays, a number that rivals the 2019 pre-pandemic record of 119 million travelers.” Although many people are anxious to take flight, there might be a few hurdles along the way. From the lines to the weather, it could have a few people longing for their couch.

In an effort to lessen a little of that travel stress, Shake Shack is offering Can’t Fly, Have a Fry. The Shake Shack free fry promotion will be available at John F. Kennedy International Airport. From December 22 through December 24, the free fries will be given to travelers “who experience delayed or canceled flights.”

To get this free fry promotion, travelers can head to the location in Terminal 4 to redeem this promotion. Simply show the Fry Attendants proof of “delayed or canceled flights on a mobile device” to get “free crispy crinkle cut fries.

Although JFK travelers are singing loud for all to hear, they aren’t the only travelers getting a little holiday cheer from Shake Shack. For other travelers, simply snap a picture in front of that delayed or canceled flight and tag Shake Shack on Instagram. Those travelers will get a free fry voucher via direct message.

This travel promotion is another example of a brand who wants to make holiday travel a little smoother. Vizzy is going to be giving away free beverages.

While no one can predict travel delays, these special promotions hopefully will bring a little holiday cheer. And, for those who travel, remember to pack a little extra patience. It might be the best holiday present to give and get.
