Simple ways to cut the holiday season stress

From baking disasters to forgotten holiday gifts, the holiday season stress seems to be at an all-time high. While some people might want to throw their hands up and jet off to some picture perfect getaway, it might not be quite that simple. Luckily, there are a few solutions to ditch the stress and uncover the holiday cheer.

According to a recent Walgreens survey, “43% of Americans anticipate feeling more stressed this holiday season than they were last year.” While many people might have had the best intentions to make lists, prepare, and shop long before the few days leading up to December 25, the reality might be the opposite. With all the other to-do lists, the holiday planning was put off like decorating that Christmas tree.

Now with little time left, there is no putting off till tomorrow. But, there are plenty of other items that can be added to the cart and hopefully salvage a little holiday cheer.

From holiday candy to a bottle of liquor, there are plenty of options at Walgreens to keep everyone off that perpetual naughty list. Even if one of those gifts is a gift card, it is better to have a gift in hand than an IOU.

Whether it is that forgotten gallon of milk or that a bottle of headache medicine, the neighborhood corner store is that simple solution.

Whether or not the holiday season stress is unavoidable, the reality is that a few tweaks can help bring the levels down a notch. For example, many teas have stress-alleviating options. From a stress tea to just the ritual of brewing a cup of tea, that option can have some people appreciating the ability to take a moment to breathe.
