With wishes of good luck, health and prosperity, Disneyland roars into the Year of the Tiger with a robust celebration for the Lunar New Year. Now through February 13, 2022, Disney California Adventure celebrates the annual event. From delicious food to special entertainment, the theme park invites guests to explore Asian cultures and look forward to a momentous year ahead.

Over the years, Disney California Adventure Park has brought a taste of the annual Lunar New Year celebration to its theme park. From Mulan’s Lunar New Year Processional to other entertainment, the Disney magic is woven into the traditional celebration.

While the activities engage guests, many people look to the delicious food offerings as the most enticing part of the annual celebration. According to tradition, certain foods are said to promote the sentiments of prosperity, good luck and health. The Disney chefs are offering their take on these Asian-inspired dishes.

Throughout Disney California Adventure Park, the Lunar New Year Marketplace kiosks offer a wide array dishes. Many guests will want to purchase the Sip and Savor pass. That offer allows guests to sip and savor six food and nonalcoholic beverages at participating dining locations.

For this year’s menu, the Disney chefs have blended both new and returning food options. In addition, there are plant-based food options to ensure that everyone can enjoy a taste of the celebration. One example is the Impossible Lion’s Head meatballs.

Another popular dish is the spicy pork Dandan noodles. Long noodles are a classic Lunar New Year dish. This menu item has a lovely amount of heat yet does not overpower the tastebuds.

Of course, one of the popular dishes is the char-sio BBQ pork bao. The Prosperity Bao & Buns kiosk is always a popular stop with guests. The soft bun stuffed with various ingredients is simply irresistible.

In addition to the kiosks, Paradise Garden Grill is featuring Asian inspired dishes. While many people will find the Pork Banh Mi, with the unctuous pork belly combined with the bright pickled daikon, a must order, it isn’t the only option. The plant-based spicy Kung Pao tofu will have people discovering a love of that ingredient. The varied flavors and textures make this dish a winner.

Lastly, don’t forget to order the Tiger milk tea. The brown sugar boba are little treasures in each sip.

The Lunar New Year celebration at Disneyland runs through February 13, 2022. For more information on Disney Parks reservations as well as health and safety regulations, please visit its website.
