Finding the perfect road trip snack is just as important as having a good friend to travel down the highway. In the next Super Bowl LVI commercial teaser from Lay’s potato chips, Seth Rogen and Paul Rudd seem to be headed on an epic adventure. Did those few moments reveal anything about where they are going and who they will meet?

Previously, Lay’s potato chips gave a glimpse of its upcoming Super Bowl LVI commercial. While Seth Rogen has a huge admirer in the wings, that first ad begged the question, where is he. In this next installment, Rogen and Rudd appear to be heading down the highway. Do they find a snack adventure, or will they take whatever comes their way?

To be clear, this short, very short clip, really doesn’t say or tell anything. While everyone expects witty banter from Rogen and Rudd, there is a nod to a classic buddy film. It isn’t Smoky and the Bandit, but there is a slightly retro vibe to clip.

Even look at the Lay’s potato chips bag. It is not the traditional yellow potato chip bag that sits on store shelves today. Maybe that information is a touch of a clue about what might be coming.

Then again, this “teaser” does what it should do. It makes people want to see more. There are more questions than answers. Just like a great movie trailer, it would never reveal all the twists and turns in the plot. But, those hats might need a wardrobe upgrade.

For now, the best thing to do is open a bag of Lay’s potato chips and ponder the possibilities. Maybe Rogen and Rudd will solve the best road trip snack question. Maybe that bag flies out of the convertible and starts a series of unexpected events. No matter the exact scenario, one thing is true. People are waiting to find out what happens next.
