After the cooks whipped up a sweet and savory brunch, Next Level Chef episode 7 takes on seafood. Although some cooks will be able to stack up a great dish, there are more twists to be had in this culinary competition. Could a favorite cook be leaving the kitchen?

Next Level Chef episode 7 seems to be focused on seafood. Given the breadth of that ingredient, the cooks might need to choose platform ingredients wisely. Even though high end ingredients can bring great flavor, there needs to be cooking care. No one should ever over cook a spot prawn.

At the same time, the cooks need to showcase their creativity. A simple fish filet, shrimp scampi or even clams and pasta is not going to cut it. Execution is now a given; the judges want more on a plate. The dishes with bold flavors, unique approaches and an extra dose of creativity will earn praise.

Now that the cooks have started to find their groove in the competition, it is time to shake things up. At the end of the brunch episode, the preview clip said that the format is changing. Now three cooks will go up for elimination. In addition, this episode is said to have a double elimination.

With three chefs facing elimination, there might be some strategy within the teams. Although there is always an incentive to be the best chef in the kitchen, no one wants to be a target. Could one of the judges put up a successful chef in order to knock out the other competition? Would that idea be a smart move?

Given that Team Blais has four cooks and the other teams only have three, this double elimination could impact the competition greatly. Could Gordon Ramsay’s teams go down to just two cooks? At some point could there be just one cook fighting to keep a team alive?
