While Guy Fieri might have Triple D and Triple G, Tournament of Champions Season 3 premiere might be about the three Bs, bigger, bolder, and better. With double the chefs competing for the belt, the competition is going to be heated. What new tricks can Food Network fans expect this season?

According to the Food Network, Tournament of Champions Season 3 premiere, “The Tournament Kicks Off,” features the following:

"Tournament of Champions returns bigger and better than ever! This year, the number of chefs has doubled as 32 culinary giants compete for the title of TOC Champion. Host Guy Fieri reveals the seeds and matchups to all 32 chefs before kicking off round one with four one-on-one sudden death battles. Four chefs will move on to round two, and four will be going home to train for next year."

While some people love their March Madness brackets, others look to the Tournament of Champions brackets as a test of culinary prediction. The past two seasons have seen big opening round upsets. Although no one is clairvoyant, it seems quite possible that a big upset could be around the corner.

In addition, one big question lingers. Could the third champion be another woman cook? It was refreshing that women have come out on top. Maybe there should be more emphasis on Fierce Female Foodies.

With 32 chefs taking the challenge, the reality is that more chefs mean more reasons to watch. Although eagle eyed Food Network fans will be wondering on the randomness of the ingredients, there is plenty of inspiration coming out of the kitchen. The ingredients might not be sitting in the home refrigerator, but the idea can spark something creativity on the plate.

Looking at the various chefs, there is no way to truly predict the winner. While everyone will have a favorite, it is like throwing a dart at a board. Sometimes you’re good and sometimes you’re lucky. In both cases, it can produce a win.
