Christina Tosi transforms M&M’S Crunchy Cookie in the most delicious way

Recently, FoodSided spoke with Tosi about her partnership with M&M’S. Revealing that her “taste buds were formed in the aisles of the grocery store,” that sentiment is apparent in many of the whimsical desserts that have become her signature. Blending that touch of nostalgia in every bite, the celebrated baker always put fun into the conversation.

With this partnership, Tosi has created M&M’S x Christine Tosi Crunchy Cookie. This special treat takes the flavors of the new M&M’S candy and transforms them in a very Tosi way. From the perfect visual to the memorable bite, it is a delightful dessert.

When asked about the inspiration for the special cookie, Tosi said it came from the candy. Specifically, she said it is a “love letter” to the new M&M’S flavor. The center flavor is said to mimic the center cookie center in the candy. It is a celebration of flavors and textures.

Specifically, Tosi said that this cookie celebrates the idea of “more is more.” Even though there is a cacophony of flavors and texture, nothing is muddled. The candy reference is clear, but the cookie stands on its own.

Although the cookie might be over the top, it has the right “inclusion.” When asked, Tosi shared that she tests, re-tests, and reconfigures recipes to ensure that the inclusion is perfect.
