Recently, Kit Kat sent some of the new Blueberry Kit Kat candies for FoodSided to try. From the moment that the wrapper is opened, the aroma of a blueberry muffin is apparent. That combination of comforting yet fresh fruit juiciness is clear. The first whiff is clearly blueberry.

While the color is more lavendar-ish than dark blueberry, it is reminiscent of a blueberries and cream combination. From the aroma to color, the anticipation grows for that first bite.

The flavor is sweet, but not overly so. Similar to a blueberry muffin, it has that perfect balance. The creaminess of the chocolate contrasts the crunchy wafer. Although there is a desire to savor the moment, it is too easy to devour quickly.
