Tournament of Champions Season 3 episode 7: Elite eight
After a tie and several heated battles, Tournament of Champions Season 3 episode 7 celebrates the elite eight. By the end of the episode, only four will remain with a chance to win the coveted belt.
According to the Food Network, Tournament of Champions Season 3 episode 7, “8 Warriors Remain” features the following:
"Guy Fieri welcomes the eight remaining quarterfinal chefs to contend with the dreaded randomizer and face off against each other in sudden death battles. By the end of the night, the top four chefs will be selected to battle in the finale."
While much can be said about the talents of the elite eight, the reality is that each battle is at the mercy of the randomizer. Whether it is an unusual kitchen essential or flavors that are not optimum pairings, the reality is that the randomizer will always influence the competition.
As seen in previous battles, the chefs who utilize the required components best will earn the judges’ praises. It is more than just a well-plated dish. The concept that best answers the food question will earn the ultimate reward.
Looking at the final eight, a similar story to previous seasons seems to be unfolding. Female chefs are well-represented in the later rounds. Although female chefs long for their voices to be heard more loudly in the restaurant world, this competition has proven that female chefs are a force in the kitchen.
Even as the first two Tournament of Champions winners have been women, it doesn’t guarantee a third woman raising the belt. Still, the likelihood of another woman champion cannot be denied.
Looking at the elite eight, it could be anyone’s title to earn. Depending on the components of the randomizer, the success of the dish is held in the balance. While the execution component is a given, it is the creativity and the ability to maximize the components that earns a chef a win.
