Can you spell your way to free Hillshire Farm SNACKED?

For anyone who has the perfect Wordle or Foodle streak, it is time to put those spelling skills to good use. Hillshire Farm SNACKED wants you to spell your way to free food.

In the world of autocorrect and acronyms, proper spelling has become a forgotten skill. When the National Spelling Bee takes center stage, many people marvel at the knowledge from these young scholars. Some people can’t even pronounce or define the words that these students are spelling.

Ahead of the National Spelling Bee, Hillshire Farm is giving away free food for people who can properly spell. At specific pop-up locations, remembering those I before E except at C rules can reap big rewards.

According to Amy Margolin, Brand Manager, Hillshire Farm SNACKED!, “It takes a lot of brain power to win a National Spelling Bee, and Hillshire Farm SNACKED! offers a versatile, on the-the-go snack to help fuel kids through challenges and achieve their dreams–both big and small! As an official sponsor of the Scripps National Spelling Bee, we’re thrilled to support the contestants throughout the competition. We hope people enjoy the ‘pay with words’ vending machine and celebrate their inner spelling champion with the perfect snack.”

For those unfamiliar, Hillshire Farm SNACKED is an easy, portable snack that kids crave. With 10 grams of protein and four kid-friendly flavors, it has become a favorite with families.


Each container includes a cheese, a meat and a sweet treat. Some people choose based on the dessert, and that is totally ok. The good source of protein ensures that young (and not so young) are satisfied and can use all that brain power to make it through all those tasks.

The special spelling kiosks will be stationed in New York City and National Harbor in Maryland. Here are the times and locations.

New York City, NY:

  • Flatiron District May 25 from 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., Address: 5th Ave, between West 25th and 26th Street New York, NY

National Harbor, MD:

  • Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center, May 30 and May 31 from 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., Address: 201 Waterfront Street. National Harbor, Maryland
