MasterChef Season 12 Episode 3 exclusive clip: Friendship or an apron?
With only a few more aprons to be awarded, MasterChef Season 12 Episode 3 poises an interesting question in the competition kitchen. While these former MasterChef contestants might be friends, can the desire to earn that coveted apron cause that friendship to go up in flames?
According to FOX, MasterChef Season 12 Episode 3 features the following:
"With only six aprons left, the judges round out auditions and give a lucky few chefs a chance to return to the MasterChef kitchen. Each 45-minute audition battle brings the contestants one step closer to being in the top 20 in the all-new “Back to Win – Audition Battles (Part 3)” episode of MASTERCHEF airing Wednesday, June 8 (8:00-9:01 PM ET/PT) on FOX."
While that short description sets the tone, the following exclusive MasterChef preview clip gets to the heart of this new episode. When culinary glory is on the line, will friendship or success come first?
Joe Bastianich gets to the point in this clip. While it is good to have support in the kitchen, MasterChef is not the kitchen brigade of Hell’s Kitchen. Only one person will earn the title in this culinary competition. Sometimes a touch of ego and looking out for yourself can be helpful.
Still, there will be moments when having a fellow chef by your side can be useful. Many people remember that challenge where two chefs had to create the same dish without visually seeing what the other one was doing. A strong friendship could be helpful in that situation. Just like chefs on the line seamless work together, that familiarity could be an advantage.
Many MasterChef fans will remember Fred from his infamous dessert that had Gordon Ramsay licking his plate clean. Although he earned high praise in MasterChef Season 10, like winning the Morimoto challenge, there were several disappointments. Unfortunately, Fred exited but he gained a friendship in the process.
Bri, known to MasterChef fans as the Plating Queen, had initial success in Season 10 but faltered on execution. Pretty plates could not save her uncooked salmon.
As seen on MasterChef Season 10, Fred and Bri became friends. This exclusive video clip shows that the friendship, and business partnership, continued after the cameras turned off.
Although not mentioned in the clip, it appears that Fred and Bri hosted events with EatWith. Various former MasterChef contestants host dining experiences via the program. For anyone who is looking to enjoy a taste of those culinary creations in the real world, this service offers its.
Will both Fred and Bri get an apron this time around? Be sure to watch MasterChef Season 12 episode 3 Wednesday June 8 at 8 p.m. on FOX.
