Counting down to Amazon Prime Day? While the big shopping savings is a reason to cheer, Amazon Prime members just got another benefit added to their account. The popular Grubhub+ membership ensures even more Grubhub rewards, which means that dinner plans are solved.

In a recent announcement from Grubhub, Amazon Prime members can receive a “free, year-long Grubhub+ membership trial.” This additional Grubhub service offers users unlimited $0 delivery fees on numerous restaurants via the app.

While convenience has become the shopping norm, consumers are wanting value with each purchase. Whether it is seeking the best deal or using memberships to enhance shopping savings, being a savvy shopper is the name of the game.

As Ariella Kurshan Senior Vice President of Growth, Grubhub, said “Both Grubhub and Amazon have transformed people’s lives by providing them with unprecedented choice and convenience. I’m thrilled that new Grubhub diners from Amazon can get even more delivered to their door with their Prime membership.”

Whether it is busy schedules, soaring gas prices or just convenience, many people find that takeout and food delivery is essential to their daily lives. Third party services help to connect businesses and patrons. Whether it is that forgotten gallon of milk for dinner or satisfying that noodle craving while binge watching that favorite show, there are fewer reasons to leave the couch.

Although years ago food delivery was limited to pizza or some Kung Pao Chicken, the reality is that now almost anything can be delivered. Just like Amazon Prime has changed how people shop, so have third-party delivery services. A quick scan of a smart phone proves that those services are just a click away. Restaurants have adapted to these changes, like Wendy’s Hot and Crispy Fries that survive that trip home.

Amazon Prime members have another reason to click and place that food delivery order. The Grubhub+ membership is a new perk, and it might be the one that gets used quite often.
