A new Popeyes meal answers the most difficult food question
While many people love that chicken from Popeyes, there is another sentiment on the table that can be a dinner time dilemma. Whether it is standing at the pantry or refrigerator, the pending question may not have an answer. There could be plenty of options on the shelf, but the answer is lacking. Luckily, this new Popeyes meal is the solution to when you just do not know what to eat.
The Popeyes IDK Meal (I Don’t Know) solves that difficult food question. Everyone can relate to that sentiment. Even with all the choices available, it really is about someone else simplifying the decision.
Even though work fills the day, schedules seem to be overbooked, and life might be chaotic, food fills people’s minds. Beyond that craving for a particular food, people go from one meal to a snack to another opportunity to eat. Food is always part of the conversation.
The Popeyes IDK Meal is back again this summer. Created by Popeyes Vice President of Culinary Innovation, Amy Alarcon, the meal hits every flavor profile, salty, sweet, sour, bitter and umami. Sometimes breaking down the question to its simplest form is the easy answer.
The new Popeyes meal features a Popeyes Chicken Sandwich, either in classic or spicy, and a premium classic lemonade or strawberry lemonade, which can be ordered chilled or frozen. It is clear that the meal combines the savory, sweet, sour, bitter and umami.
In addition, the various textures add to the satisfaction. Just that chicken sandwich alone hits all the right notes. From the crunchy texture of the perfectly fried chicken to the soft bun to the creamy sauce, it adds to eating enjoyment.
The idea of an IDK Meal isn’t necessarily a brand-new idea. Some restaurants and hotels have offered kids’ meals that play off this indecision. Many parents appreciate the humor when the kids get a meal based on exactly what they say. In some ways, Popeyes is playing into that sentiment.
For now, another mealtime decision is made. The Popeyes IDK Meal is available for a limited time. The suggested price is $6 and can be ordered in restaurants and on the Popeyes app.
