Dan Levy shakes up a refreshing Cointreau cocktail for summer soirees
While everyone wants to soak up fun in the sun, Dan Levy has a tasty tipple that will make any summer soiree sensational. It is time to fill the glass with a refreshing Cointreau cocktail that is perfect for those mid-day toasts.
Levy has a way about him that makes everyone want to enjoy a seat at his table. He has shown people how to never miss that memorable moment and has used his wit to keep people laughing. No matter the situation, a good time is waiting to be enjoyed.
With his new HBO Max series, Levy is channeling his time on The Great Canadian Baking Show with an engaging take on a culinary competition. HBO Max’s The Big Brunch looks to celebrate dining between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
The new culinary competition will be less focused on a particular cuisine, rather the type of dining. Given that brunch encompasses so many aspects, it will be interesting to see how these culinary voices provide a new spin to the dining experience.
Although some people might think of the ladies who brunch, that one image is somewhat limiting. Brunch can be the perfect time to linger with friends, celebrate a special occasion and enjoy a refreshing Cointreau cocktail.
While many people would love to get an invitation to one of Levy’s gatherings, there is a way to bring one of his preferred cocktails to the mix. According to Cointreau, the Original Margarita is one of his go-to cocktails for the summer. Given that the recipe is just three ingredients, it is a sipper that anyone can master.
The Original Margarita
Ingredients:
- 1 oz. Cointreau
- 2 oz. blanco tequila
- 1 oz. fresh lime juice
Directions:
- STEP 1: Rim your rocks glass with salt
- STEP 2: Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice
- STEP 3: Shake vigorously until well chilled
- STEP 4: Strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice
- STEP 5: Garnish with a lime wheel
When the temperatures soar, consider adding a little flavor to that classic margarita recipe. For example, a little spice in the margarita offers a cooling effect on a hot day.
Also, cucumber is a refreshing flavor. Combining cucumbers and jalapenos makes for a satisfying sipper that is a crowd pleaser.
