While football fans might hope for a winning season, the Indianapolis Colts 2022 menu will definitely score with guests. Beyond gameday match-up offerings to a new kids menu, a special feature could change the conversation on football food. With two Colts players offering menu inspiration, it might be a new trend in food and sports.

Every year, football teams and stadiums look to elevate the game day menu. Long gone are the days of simple hot dogs, hamburgers, and pizza. Today’s fans want a menu that could appear at a sit down restaurant. Even if the dish might make cheering for that big play slightly more difficult, that first bite is worth it.

The Indianapolis Colts 2022 menu is adding two new items that other teams might mimic. According to a recent announcement, Sodexo Live!’s Executive Chef Shimelis “Shimu” Adem named two of the Colts players, All-Pro Linebacker Shaquille Leonard and Defensive Tackle Grover Stewart, as honorary “Chief Flavor Officers.” The two specialty dishes are big on flavor but also have a way to give back.

According to Roger VanDerSnick, Colts Chief Sales & Marketing Officer, this year’s offerings build on the idea that every season should have some fresh ideas. With the help of Sodexo Live, the well-rounded fan experience at Lucas Oil Stadium makes guests feel appreciated. VanDerSnick said, “We’re especially excited to involve our players in this year’s menu offerings through Chef Shimu’s collaboration with Shaquille and Grover.”

As Steve Pangburn, Chief Executive Officer, Sodexo Live! North America said, “There has been some really passionate and creative collaboration going on in the off-season that we know will go a long way with guests.” Looking at the two offerings from the Colts players, these dishes will definitely be top choices.

Shaquille Leonard’s offering is The Maniac Burger of the Game. For each Colts game, the burger will be “themed to the opposing team’s city’s signature food.” Given the variety, many people will want to see how the burger evolves.

More importantly, proceeds from The Maniac Burger of the Game will go to Maniac Foundation. Founded by Leonard and his wife, the foundation seeks “to help transform lives through education, wellness, serving families in need and other causes.”

Grover Stewart’s menu item is the Grover Stewart’s Kitchen Sink Wings. While kitchen sink is often a cookie or ice cream description, Colts fans will appreciate the reference. After being featured on HBO’s Hard Knocks, everyone will get an opportunity to enjoy that taste. Although the recipe will not be revealed, everyone can order that top-secret dish at section 124, 144 and 533’s Grill-N-Brew, as well as 327’s Red Zone Grill.

In addition to these specialty items, the Indianapolis Colts 2022 menu offers a new kids menu, several signature cocktails and more. Be sure to check with Lucas Oil Stadium for all the food offerings on each game day.
