While many people long to take an island getaway, others might not be able to jump onto a plane for that sunny destination. Luckily, the US Virgin Islands are bringing a taste of the islands to everyone at the Made In America Festival. Ready to add a little spice to the city of Brotherly love?

An island getaway can be a vibe. From a pristine view to the flavors on the plate, that trip is more than just an escape. It is an experience etched in the memory.

During the Made in American Festival, Philadelphia will get a sample of the USVI culture. While it might not necessarily come with that tropical breeze, it is a sampling of what awaits on the shore. From vibrant colors to embracing the possible, the celebration is one that everyone will want to keep going far beyond the festival dates.

This special collaboration will get a taste of the December Carnival in December. For anyone who dreams of experiencing this cacophony of flavors, colors and sounds, this collaboration can entice their interest to planning that next getaway.

Given that this special collaboration gives guests a taste of what the USVI has to offer, the ability to jump on a plane and escape for a bit is even easier. For example, flights from New York City, Miami and Tampa are affordable. With some flights under $250, it could be as easy to head to the Caribbean than do another staycation.

What other flavors tempt people to get a taste of the US Virgin Islands?

As part of the Made In American Festival, the USVI Department of Tourism will be participating in the 20th National Buffalo Wing Festival. While people can debate whether chicken wing drums or flats are best, bold, exciting flavors get people to place another order.

In this year’s competition, Barefoot Buddha Restaurant will be participating in 20th Buffalo Wing Festival. Previously earning the crown in the “King of the Wing” contest in USVI, Barefoot Buddha is ready to take to impress everyone. While people might not be eating a dozen chicken wings with their toes in the sand, the flavor is one that will leave a lasting impression.

This “Buffalo Style” food competition will feature more than 100 style of wings and these types of food. With more than 50,000 expected attendees from over 30 countries and all the states, it is a celebration of diversity as well as finding a common thread amongst the distance.

Do not miss the event this week. With this special food and travel event, there is no passport required.
