Gordon Ramsay has opened the doors once again to a new group of chefs. While the Hell’s Kitchen Season 21 premiere introduces FOX viewers to the Battle of the Ages, the competition gets heated quickly. How fast could one chef’s dreams go up in smoke?

For any Hell’s Kitchen fan, some concepts have become iconic. While many people will never forget the fiery barbs of “idiot sandwich” or sending an under cooked seafood back under the sea, the reality is that fans want to see those contentious moments. It is one of the reasons why Hell’s Kitchen is a culinary competition legend.

Over the seasons, the team punishment has forced losing teams to complete some dirty, difficult, sometime demeaning tasks. From taking out the trash to tedious food prep, these chores are definitely not fun.

In recent seasons, Gordon Ramsay has introduced the Punishment Pass. This coveted prize is basically a get out of jail free card. Although it can only be redeemed once, it is a way for one chef to avoid that dirty work.

Since Hell’s Kitchen Season 21 is the Battle of the Ages, the Punishment Pass challenge is taking a turn. Just like the blue and red teams have a different twist, this first challenge has dire consequences.

Are chefs ready for the Hell’s Kitchen Season 21 premiere Punishment Pass twist?

As seen in the exclusive video shared with FoodSided, the new chefs need to put their best foot forward. There is no room to stumble in this first challenge.

Given that the chefs have to make chicken wings, there is much room for error. While no one should ever give Gordon Ramsay and under-cooked chicken wing, that execution issue is just one component. From the right texture to a creative flavor, there are more potential pitfalls with this challenge then positive outcomes.

Which chef will see their opportunity go up in flames on the Hell’s Kitchen Season 21 premiere? Watch the new season on Thursday, September 29 at 8 p.m. on FOX to watch.
