More and more often, quick service restaurant guests are being vocal about their favorite menu items. When those food options are not on the menu board, people speak up. From social media to other platforms, the quick service restaurant needs to respond to that outcry. With the return of the Kentucky Fried Chicken Wraps, the finger licking good fried chicken is a convenient choice in three bold flavors that guests have been craving.

While that bucket of fried chicken and classic sides are always a popular choice, sometimes sitting at the table with a knife and fork is not an option. A portable, easy to eat option can satisfy that craving no matter the location.

Although the simple concept was once available, it disappeared from KFC. Back in 2014, KFC offered KFC Twister Wraps. This new offering is a version of that menu item.

Many people remember the wraps fondly. According to the brand, there have been “over 42,500 Twitter mentions over the past two years.” The popular quick service restaurant was listening, and the wraps are back, at least in one location.

According to KFC, the Kentucky Fried Chicken Wraps are back in Atlanta. As Chef Chris Scott, Head Chef, KFC U.S. said, “With our new wraps, our fans in Atlanta are bound to experience a burst of finger lickin’ good flavor with every bite, whether it be from the crunch of our Extra Crispy Tenders, the bold heat from spicy sauce or the richness of our cheesy mac & cheese. We’re excited to hear the feedback on these new flavor combinations from our Atlanta customers!”

What are the Kentucky Fried Chicken Wraps options?

The limited availability menu items include: Classic Chicken Wrap, Mac & Cheese Chicken Wrap and Spicy Slaw Chicken Wrap. The Classic Chicken Wrap includes crunchy pickles and mayo on a tortilla. Although the mayo may not be necessary, the chicken and pickles are always a great combination.

The Mac & Cheese Chicken Wrap seems to transform a bowl into a portable option. It could be a little messy, but it is a main and side in a single bite.

Lastly, the Spicy Slaw Chicken Wrap might be the most exciting option of the three. With the KFC coleslaw, spicy sauce and pickles, it is similar to a Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich but maybe a little more flavor approachable. Plus, the flavors seem to balance each other which ensures it is not too spicy.

The Kentucky Fried Chicken Wraps are available “at participating KFC locations only in Atlanta and surrounding areas such as Decatur, Duluth, Suwanee and more.” The wraps are said to be prices at $3 or can be purchased as a two-wrap combo. Prices may vary depending on location.
