America’s Test Kitchen: The Next Generation comes to Amazon Freevee
Hungry for another food television competition? America’s Test Kitchen: The Next Generation is the newest culinary competition to hit the screen. Set to debut on Amazon Freevee, one cook will earn a position with the legendary America’s Test Kitchen. Who will have the perfect balance of cooking skills and big personality?
Over the years, America’s Test Kitchen has become a trusted cooking resource. Blending practice advice with smart cooking techniques, the culinary resource has inspired “confidence, community, and creativity in the kitchen.” Whether it is the two food television programs, magazines, or other content, cooks know that they can turn to these recipes and be successful.
With the new culinary competition, America’s Test Kitchen: The Next Generation, 11 contestants vie for the position on the team. While each cook has the culinary skills, it is more than just perfect execution. Engaging an audience is vital.
Over a series of challenges, the cooks will be tested. From the culinary knowledge to their on-camera personality, only one person will earn the prize, which includes becoming “the newest face of America’s Test Kitchen, the opportunity to write their own cookbook, and a $100,000 prize to fund the culinary business of their dreams.”
Guiding these aspiring stars are America’s Test Kitchen icons Dan Souza, Elle Simone Scott, Jack Bishop, and Julia Collin Davison. In addition, special guest judges will lend their insight to the mix. Also, Emmy-winner Jeannie Mai Jenkins will host the 10-episode series.
While the exact direction of the culinary challenges has not been revealed, it can be assumed that the recipes will be approachable. Even though television fans appreciate those visually impressive, tweezer plated dishes by some celebrity chefs, those dishes are not often found on the home table. This program is about inspiring the home cook to get into the kitchen versus place another takeout order.
America’s Test Kitchen: The Next Generation premieres on December 8. New episodes air weekly through February 10. All episodes can be watched exclusively on Amazon Freevee, both in the U.S. and the U.K.
