From Reese’s trees to those classic Hershey’s Kisses, life’s moments are always sweeter with some favorite candy. While some people might be baking to their hearts content this holiday season, other favorite holiday traditions fill the calendar as well. Since all those activities can make people hungry, Hershey has the most flavorful food pairings to bring extra merriment to the occasion.

During the holiday season, many people are more willing to indulge. It may not mean eating a dozen Reese’s trees, but it does mean saying yes to the candy. From grabbing a treat from the bowl on the table to adding a few extra pieces to another dessert, saying “no” could put someone on the naughty list.

As Katie Behrman, associate brand manager, seasons, at The Hershey Company said, “Hershey knows that magical feeling of being surrounded by loved ones and cherishing every moment this special season brings. We want to help transform those sweet moments into lifelong memories by adding an extra element of delight with our seasonal products like HERSHEY’S KISSES in festive foils, new HERSHEY’S Milk Chocolate Hot Chocolate Bombs and Rolo® Creamy Caramels Wrapped in Rich Chocolate.”

Favorite holiday traditions paired with Hershey’s holiday candy

As seen in the recent Hershey’s candy pairing guide, it makes 10 holiday food and activity recommendations. Whether or not these suggestions are scientifically proven in fact or flavored more with opinion, it does not matter. It puts the fun in food. Not every food pairing needs to served on a white tablecloth.

For example, Hershey’s believes that tree trimming should be paired with Reese’s Trees. The connection is clear. At the same time, some people might prefer some Hershey’s Kisses because they reflect the ornaments on the tree. Maybe a bowl featuring both options can be the perfect solution.

A curious food recommendation was pairing York Peppermint Pattie Snowflakes with playing in the snow. While everyone knows that the new Hershey’s Hot Cocoa Bombs are the perfect post-snowball fight beverage, the minty candy is an unlikely suggestion. Maybe that burst of mint is the bright flavor that helps to keep people ready for that next adventure.

From holiday movies to singing Christmas carols, there is a suggestion for every holiday activity. It appears that no matter the occasion, Hershey’s brings a little extra sparkle to that event. The sweet life is one which is lived to the fullest and it is time to unwrap that favorite candy before the New Year begins.
